glass wall

as an unpublished writer i find it almost impossible to convince readers that i have something to offer. the general attitude is one of platitudes that come in the form of; "yes i'd like to read your novel", but for some reason they never get around to doing so. most often the reasoning is that they've been busy. or in other cases you get the flat stare that says you couldn't have possibly written something i would find worthy of reading. either way, it's like standing behind a glass wall where they can see you, but they can't hear you. i have made it to amazon with my novel so at least i'm one step forward.
